farewell to the faithful riley
I received an email message from daughter Cait this evening that their beloved dog, Riley, suffering from an aggressive canine cancer, has gone on to that great pheasant hunting meadow in the beyond. Everyone who ever met her, saw her run after a tossed frisbee, watched her watching the preparation of her dinner, or felt her velvety brown coat will miss her. RIP, Riley.

Oh, dear. Riley looked to be a lovely dog. Those of us who have counted our pets as treasured members of our families know how hard it is to say goodbye. That kind of unconditional love can keep you getting up in the morning and coming home at night when not much else will. My condolences to Cait and kin.
Yes, it must be rough for your Cait and Riley was a sweetheart (I can just tell by the photo). Condolences.
